Hospice of Saint John Remodel

Scope of Work
Renovation of Hospice of Saint John
LEI was contracted to perform a full electrical system renovation for the Hospice of Saint John in Lakewood, Colorado. This renovation included repair of all electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, security, sound/paging, telecommunications and one point connections to the mechanical system.
One of the projects key challenges involved renovating in an occupied facility with active hospice care patients and staff. In an effort to mitigate the potential risks associated with this occupied environment, LEI instituted detailed methods of procedures for our installations, stringent resident safety and quality control requirements, noise reduction procedures including night and shift work and overall awareness of the potential risks to the patients and staff. Furthermore, this environment required LEI to ensure proper planning and communication during construction to avoid unnecessary noise, vibrations, interruptions or cleanliness issues that may have been disruptive or hazardous. This project gave our staff the experience needed to manage an installation within an occupied facility and created successful partnerships with the Owner, General Contractor and other Subcontractors to ensure a successful outcome.
